About AIMP8

Last updated: October 2025 · Review before production launch

What AIMP8 is

AIMP8 is an online media workbench for format conversion, compression, transcription, subtitles, voiceover, audio cleanup and media summaries. The name stands for AI Media Processor.

Design principle

We prefer local browser processing when it can protect privacy and reduce server cost. Large files and AI models use signed cloud jobs with visible retention and credit costs.

What AIMP8 is not

AIMP8 is not a music or video player, does not ask users to adopt a new file format, and does not provide platform downloaders for copyrighted media.
